Preparations for the 44th edition of the Seychelles annual Regatta are well underway, as the Round Table Seychelles (RTS) announces this year’s official dates and charitable cause during their event launched at the Air Seychelles VIP Lounge in Pointe Larue.  RTS also took the opportunity of unveiling this year’s official artwork, contributed by local artist Colbert Nourrice.

Air Seychelles, in collaboration with Sporting Life Management, welcomed five professional basketball players including Kevin Séraphin, who plays for Indiana Pacers in the NBA (American professional league), Seychelles own professional Abdel Sylla who plays for Orléans Loiret Basket in the French Pro A and his teammates Antoine Mendy, Georgi Joseph and Souarata Cissé from Orleans Loiret Basket

Last weekend, as part of the 41st national day celebrations, Air Seychelles together with ISPC participated in the national day fair held on Eve Island in Baie St Anne Praslin under the theme “Zil Pros An Mouvman”.

Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, and Sporting Life Management, today welcomed darts champion Raymond van Barneveld to the Seychelles archipelago for a series of clinics aimed at children and darts enthusiasts.

The Air Seychelles Cabin Crew Community has organized a fun day of games and activities for 70 children at the School of Exceptional Child to mark International Children’s Day. The kids were surprised earlier this morning when Air Seychelles cabin crew and pilots, all dressed in full uniforms, joined them at the school assembly at 8.30am to sing hymns.

Air Seychelles this morning was happy to host 70 students from P3 and P4 of Bel Eau school on a tour of its aircraft A330. This was part of one of their schools projects on Transportation and was initiated by the school.

Cassiya, the popular Sega group from Mauritius, with lead singer Desire Francois, had a warm welcome into Seychelles by the representatives of the Air Seychelles VIP Lounge and Corporate Affairs teams. Cassiya performed alongside top local artists in the Christmas in the Tropics concert which was held on Saturday 3rd December at the Mini Stadium in Victoria.

Air Seychelles and local charitable organization Lions Club Paradise Seychelles, joined hearts to make one of the most unforgettable Christmas lunches for the children of the School of the Exceptional Child on Friday, 2 December.

Air Seychelles welcomed a group of eleven children from the School of the Exceptional Child on a tour of the airport and its Twin Otter aircraft. The visit commenced at the Seychelles International Airport where the children, who were accompanied by six teachers, had a chance to experience and learn about the process of checking in for a domestic flight.

Air Seychelles signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with the Seychelles Institute of Technology (SIT), to further strengthen the existing relationship between the two establishments. As part of the MOU, the airline will support the SIT students with training  within the engineering and technical operations department.

The airline supported the Air Seychelles Mike Ballard Foundation Conquistadors rugby team with air travel and shipments of cargo for a goodwill mission to both, Seychelles and Madagascar.

Thousands of people gathered at the Unity stadium on Wednesday, 29 June on the occasion of the 40th National day celebration to witness a spectacular flyover of the Air Seychelles wide body Airbus A330 and two Twin Otter aircraft.

Air Seychelles hosted over 20 children from the President’s Village for the sixth edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria.

Air Seychelles hosted a group of 17 young talented Seychellois citizens at its Premium lounge, en route to participate in the 38th edition of the International Children’s Friendship Festival. The festival currently was held in Antalya, Turkey from 16 April to 24 April and celebrated under the theme "Love, Friendship and Peace".

Air Seychelles participated in sporting activities organised by “Sport for all Division” in collaboration with Inter Organisation Committee at the Freedom Square playing field in Victoria. Following activities were on the program: Football (male/female) 7aside; Volleyball (male/female) 6 v/s 6; Netball (female only) 7 aside and Road race.

Air Seychelles assisted a well-known local Conservation Biologist Dr. Gerard Rocamora in transporting his latest book, a total of 800 copies, titled “Invasive Alien Species in Seychelles” from Paris to Seychelles.

Air Seychelles rewarded the winners of the Cancer Concern Association poem competition with two return tickets to the island of Praslin, plus a day trip to the island of Curieuse, sponsored by Seychelles Marine Parks Authority. The competition themed “Therapy and People” was organised to mark World Cancer Day which was celebrated on 4 February.

Air Seychelles distributed gifts to over 70 children from the President's Village on Tuesday, 22 December at Port Glaud. A number of Air Seychelles staff participated in the event, shared drinks and snacks with the children who were excited to open their gifts which they received from Father Christmas . What a remarkable way to celebrate the festive season all in the good spirit of giving!

Air Seychelles congratulates Melita Gilbert on her success in Miss Deaf Africa 2015, where she was crowned Second Princess. Melita, who is 18 years old and lives on Praslin, outshone contestants from countries such as Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe to win the title at a glamorous finale held in South Africa.
