Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has successfully passed the comprehensive Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

Held in August 2019, the intense audit widely focused on the safety practices related to the daily operations of the airline was conducted in the Seychelles by a team of experts from an IATA approved Audit Organization.

The eight areas of the business involved in the audit included cargo, security, flight, ground, technical plus cabin operations as well as the compliance monitory safety department and the operations control center.

Gerard Edmond, Head of Management Systems and also the lead coordinator of the IOSA audit at Air Seychelles said:

“The IOSA audit is one of the most rigorous exercise that Air Seychelles as an IATA member goes through every two years. The audit is very important because it does not only benchmark the safety operations and control systems of the airline, but it also verifies if the airline is maintaining compliance to the global operating safety standards. I am very happy that as a small airline operator we have managed to meet all the standards required by IOSA and having received the IOSA certification our guests can rest assured that at Air Seychelles safety remains our number one priority in everything that we do.”
