Qualifications and skills
- Graduate of a secondary educational institution*
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience, preferably in a similar or related role*
- Valid class 2 driving license with an accident-free record within the past two years
- Able to work competently under pressure and within tight schedules
- Possesses a safety conscious attitude
- Physically fit with good physical coordination-Able to lift/carry and maneuver reasonable load
- Satisfactory communication skills
- Satisfactory articulation of the English language-Able to read and understand work instructions, give and request information
- Mature, responsible, trustworthy and cooperative

Summary
- Operate the forklift for the purpose of moving cargo within the cargo/airport premises in a safe and professional manner.
- Abide to all references of quality and/or standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety, operational and commercial objective of the airline.
- Receive and deliver shipments from and to customers using the forklift.
- Load and unload aircraft Unit Load Devices
- Load aircraft pallets in preparation for loading on aircraft
- Assist with loading and unloading of containers, arranging boxes/packages on wooden pallets and dollies
- Clean and tidy the warehouse, equipment and work premises with specific responsibility to regularly clean the forklift and report any damage and/or defects.
- Assist customers to load and unload transports manually where necessary
