Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, has again successfully passed a comprehensive aviation industry safety audit.

As part of the audit, the airline was evaluated by a team of experts from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) who inspected safety practices across eight areas of the business, including its flight and ground operations and aircraft maintenance facilities in Seychelles.

The airline met all the required standards of the internationally-recognized IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), which was conducted in August 2015, and has now received its safety certification.

Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “We are pleased to have once again passed the IOSA safety audit, which is the global benchmark for safety in airlines.

“The International Air Transport Association represents some 260 airlines, or 83 per cent of the total scheduled air traffic in the world, and IOSA audits are mandatory for all members.

“Air Seychelles has an impeccable track record when it comes to safety and this successful audit is a testament to the strength of our safety culture.

“This certification means our guests can rest assured whenever they board an Air Seychelles aircraft, knowing that we always put safety first.”
