Qualifications and skills
  • Minimum graduate of a secondary educational institution *
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience, preferably in a similar or related role *
  • Satisfactory communication aptitudes, with good English skills- Able to read and understand work instructions, and give and request information
  • Strong team working skills- Able to efficiently and cooperatively work as part of a team
  • Ability to work competently under pressure and within tight schedules
  • Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace
  • Reliable and cooperative

Summary
  • Assist customers to manually load and unload transports where necessary, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Load and unload cargo, and manually move cargo to designated area to support the needs of the business.
  • Secure, and make safe cargo for export under the direct supervision of a Cargo Agent.
  • Identify Dangerous Goods and other potential risks and promptly report to the Line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Lift and carry items to awaiting delivery trucks, ensuring that they are properly and safely loaded onto the vehicles, and secured.
  • Ensure ULD nets are correctly positioned to avoid any safety hazard which may cause damage/injury to personnel or goods/aircraft, or property;
  • Assist warehouse workers in picking orders from storage areas, providing location assistance
