Air Seychelles to introduce Sabre reservations and check-in system
Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, will this month mark another milestone when it replaces its legacy reservation and check-in system with the Sabre Reservation and Check-in system at Seychelles International and Praslin Airports on Saturday, 19 March, 2016.
Roy Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “Once complete, this important systems upgrade will enhance the Air Seychelles guest experience at all travel touch points, streamline how we handle our guests, deliver functionality for check-in, and ultimately, provide a new and more efficient departure control system for our staff at our hub.”
The first service to be handled under the new platform will be on 19 March, flight HM3143 from Praslin to Mahe, at 2.20 pm, while the first international flight to be handled in Sabre will be HM18 Seychelles to Abu Dhabi, departing at 8.25pm same day. Full systems migration is expected to be complete by 21 March.
To ensure a smooth check-in experience during the cutover period, Air Seychelles would like all passengers flying from Seychelles between 19 and 21 March to note the following:
- For guests travelling on international flights, arrive at Seychelles airport at least three hours ahead of the scheduled flight departure time;
- For guests travelling on domestic flights, arrive at Seychelles domestic and Praslin airports at least one hour ahead of the scheduled flight departure time;
- Bring a printed copy of their booking confirmation and/or travel itinerary with them to the airport;
- All guests travelling domestically or internationally this weekend are advised to have purchased their tickets before Saturday, 19 March, 2016.
Mr. Kinnear concluded: “The team at Air Seychelles is well prepared and fully focused on this important technology upgrade project and we look forward to ensuring a smooth and successful cutover.”
